The outcome of an illness, particularly of a chronic illness, depends to a large extent on the individual’s coping mechanisms. Therapeutic processes which help patients to conquer their illness are therefore necessary. Patients should be supported in improving their knowledge, in maintaining a positive attitude, and in taking an active role in their own health (through attending special training or exercise classes, for example). This holistic approach is both initiated and promoted behavioural and client-centred therapy sessions with our qualified psychologist, as well as in group therapy sessions for pain and stress management.

The clinic’s social services team provides help in resolving personal and social difficulties relating to the illness, and serves as the point of contact for significant others from the patient’s social and professional environment.
Care is provided by our trained nursing staff, who, in addition to their everyday care duties, also provide patients and relatives with self-help methods. Our Patient Services Team provides individual supervision and assists with initial orientation at the clinic, for example, or in running small errands for patients.
