Treatment Concept

“Our patient is our priority”
Illness, whether or not it results in an operation, forces many people to re-examine their lives. A large part of rehabilitation involves the patient working hard to overcoming the difficulties caused by their illness. This is where we can help.

The Schwertbad Rehabilitation Clinic pursues an integrative, holistic therapy approach. This approach views the illness not just as a ‘mechanical failure”, but also takes into account the psychosocial consequences for each patient.

The aim of rehabilitation is for the patient to resume his or her role in society/daily life as fully as possible.
The basis of our care is teamwork. The team of patient, doctors, nursing staff, therapists, psychologists and social services ensures the success of our treatments. We also maintain close contact with the operating hospital and with our colleagues in private practice. Systemic manifestations of joint problems are treated at the clinic by appropriate specialists; a team of specialist consultants are on hand to provide advice and consultations. We also have special arrangements with providers of mobility aids in order to provide these to our patients at the clinic.

Based on the results of medical diagnostic procedures and specific assessments, the team creates a progressive rehabilitation plan. As well as providing pain relief, our therapeutic treatments are designed to combat the negative effects of the illness and thus to restore physical and mental stability. We work with patients to strengthen their resources and thus to improve their health.

At the Schwertbad Rehabilitation Clinic, the in-patient rehabilitation, out-patient rehabilitation and out-patient dispensing departments work closely together. This flexible, comprehensive approach ensures that patients receive optimum care with minimal effort.
